-Proof of vaccination required on all scheduled tours commencing September 13-
Starting September 13, proof of having at least one vaccination will be required for those 12 and older to access certain social and recreational events and businesses to help protect people from COVID-19. By October 24th guests will be required to show proof of full vaccination. Due to the fact that many of our suppliers fall under the PHO guidelines to require proof of vaccination, we also must make this a requirement for joining any of our scheduled tours.
Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to implement stringent protocols to keep staff and visitors safe, and will continue to do so at every stage— which now includes proof of vaccination for guests which is required by some of our suppliers.
We encourage all of our guests to know before you go and familiarize yourself with the health & safety protocols and requirements at each destination we visit.
We look forward to welcoming you, and thank you in advance for respecting the protocols in place to keep us all safe.
As we adjust business operations and implement this new requirement to keep us all safe, please be patient—we’re in this together!

With travel restrictions slowly being lifted, Discover Canada Tours is committed to ensuring that the safety of all our guests in addition to the communities that we visit is our top priority. We will be implementing a number of safety precautions on all our tours.

1. Tour Sizes

We are working with the provincial and federal governments to assess the number of passengers that we will be carrying per tour. Be assured that we will be following every regulation that is laid out.

2. Pre-Departure Checks

Before departing on any tour, we will be taking a number of precautions before guests are allowed to board the bus.
We will be doing a contactless check-in process. Details of the exact check-in process will be given to you on the day of your departure.

You will be required to answer a series of questions:

  • Do you have a fever or a cough?
  • Do you have a fever and difficulty breathing?
  • Have you been refused boarding in the past 14 days due to a medical reason related to COVID-19?
  • Are you the subject of a provincial/territorial or local public health order?

Please adhere to the 6 feet rule when gathering at the departure point.

3. On-Tour Precautions

We will be taking strict precautions during the tour. All guests will be required to wear cloth or non-surgical face masks for the duration of the tour while on the coach or when it is impossible to maintain the 6-foot distance. There will be ample hand sanitizer available on all our coaches. We encourage all our guests to regularly use this sanitizer, especially after boarding the bus after visiting an attraction. We will be sanitizing the coaches on a daily basis by wiping down all contact surfaces.

We are enforcing that everyone on the bus is required to wear a mask. Please ensure that you bring your own mask. If you do not have a mask, we will be able to provide one to you for a charge of $2. This is to ensure the safety of all our guests and your fellow travellers.

We encourage all guests to partake in keeping themselves and others safe. If you need to sneeze or cough, please do so into your elbow, wash your hands regularly, use hand sanitizer after visiting an attraction, keep your distance from other guests, at least 6 feet, and most importantly respect others.

If you or anyone in your group is experiencing symptoms, we will work directly with you to cancel or reschedule your tour.

4. Respecting and Supporting Host Communities

In addition to the safety of all our guests, the safety of the residents in the communities we visit is paramount and we expect all of our guests to adhere to the policies put in place in each community we visit.

It is also important to support the local business in the communities we visit. We ensure that all the destinations we visit we work with local suppliers to support them and grow their business. Help us to help other local businesses.
