Safe
GPS Tracking Device (Flaik)
- All students that participate in the RTS program wear a GPS tracking device (FLAIK) so the school knows where students are at all times
Full Day Lessons
- Students are supervised by certified coaches for the entire day on Blackcomb Mountain
- Students are escorted from the bus, to the rental shop, to lunch and back to the drop-off area at the end of the day, allowing you to know that the safety of your child likes in the capable hands of specially trained Ski School Staff.
Helmets
- All students are required to wear a helmet and the Ride Tribe School has more than enough complimentary CSA approved helmets to outfit every student
“Respect” Safety Video
- Safety video produced by Whistler is played on the bus ride to Whistler
Educational
Lessons with certified instructors
- All students ski/ride in a session with a coach for the entire day
- Beginners will focus on fundamentals and will quickly become comfortable on a ski/board
- Whistler’s coaches cater to the student’s needs
Fun!
- Students can be grouped in sessions with their friends, based on ability and sport. Skiers and boarders can be grouped together in the intermediate and advanced sessions
- Ski and ride with young professional coaches who know the mountains inside and out, top to bottom
- Students in the ski school get to by-pass the line ups so that they get lots of vertical
