On a recent trip to Whistler I found myself in the clinic on three occasions with injured clients. Some injuries are preventable, others just come with the territory. Safety on the hill has seen big media coverage as of late, with skiers and boarders heading out of bounds, requiring rescue. When you hit the slopes, make sure you are prepared, understand the conditions, stay with a partner and just use common sense. It’s far better than a trip to emergency and your trip ending in a cast.
