Hello fellow blog readers!! It has been pretty hectic here at Destination Tours! Myself and my new coworker went up to Whistler early last week to meet with some of the suppliers we use for our summer getaway packages! We had the privileged of checking out all of the hotel rooms booked by us as well as trying out the tasting tour offered in one of our stagette packages! We then got a chance to guide a trip to Banff over the long weekend with a group of ESL students! It”s a new trip we are trying out and I must say it was an absolute blast! Super great people and such gorgeous scenery!! Keep checking our website for updates on new and upcoming trips! destinationtours.ca

Is it the weekend yet? The one plus side of it being crazy busy is before I know it, it’s time to head home and breath. We have had soooooooooo many bookings the last 2 weeks which is amazing but it has sure kept me busy! I have a lot of people ask me about the wine tours and what wineries are the best and I always feel weird when I can only say “from what I’ve heard..” but thankfully in 3 weeks time, myself and a couple other folks here get to experience some of the most popular wine tours destination tours has to offer! I am beyond excited!! Nothing beats waking up in a super gorgeous hotel, looking over the water and spending a day sipping delicious wine samples. I can’t wait to get back and be able to tell clients my personal favorites!
Have a fantastic, sunny, happy, positive rest of the week everyone

Where has the time gone!

Is anyone else completely blown away that it is already May 1st? This year has just flown by! Since it is the begging of May I will let you all know about our amazing deals that will only last until the end of the month! You can save $25.00 per person on our Wine Tours which include Naramata, Kelowna, Oliver, Summerland and my personal favorite, The Trilogy tour which features 3 wineries, a distillery and a visit to Tree Brewery. We also offer this amazing deal on two of our West Kelowna Wine Stagette and our Summerland Wine Stagette. Don’t feel like driving too far? Why not check out our Vancouver Stagette package or if you feel like a trip to the states for a little bit of shopping , we have a very cool Seattle Stagette package. If all these amazing packages weren’t enough, we also offer a Whistler a-la-carte package which is perfect for those wanting too enjoy all that whistler has to offer. Hurry, spread the word and book before May 31st!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy the rest of this sunny week!!

Lost and Found
Oh my goodness people!! I have been spending this week cleaning up the storage room here at Destination Snow and sooo many people have left things behind while being on our bus tours!! The lost and found bin is literally overflowing! There is even a black leather Guess jacket! Like it’s kind of ridiculous how much stuff has just been sitting in that box. I’m not even sure how long any of that stuff has been in there for! Not sure how much longer we will hold onto everything but it’s a good thing Value Village is around the corner. I feel kind of bad thinking about donating peoples belongings but I’m surprised nobody has come looking for any of it! There is even a pair of snowboard boots! It should be common sense to call the company of which you did a tour with to find out if your missing item might be with them still or maybe that’s just how I would handle the situation. If anyone reading this has been on one of our bus tours and lost something I can assure you it is probably in our lost and found bin so come and get it before it disappears forever!

It’s beginning to warm up out there! Do you know what this means?!
This has been a pretty stellar season for boarding and skiing ( for me anyway ) but the weather is changing and as the winter season comes to an end, the spring and summer fun times begin!
Destination Tours offers plenty of fun summer 2 day get away packages for big and small groups. You can even add an extra day if you want to continue the fun. The one package that really stands out for me is the Okanagan Trilogy tour, as it is more then just your average wine tour. It is perfect for a mixed group of guys and gals as it gives everyone a chance to not only experience a winery, but also a distillery and brewery! It is perfect if you have a couple people in your group that don’t enjoy a glass of wine but would rather a beer or spirit.
Destination tours also offers stagette packages which are perfect for those looking to do a more unique celebration rather then a typical trip to Las Vegas which so many ladies seem to do. What could be better then a couple days away with amazing accommodation, food and of course wine tastings galore!
How about a wicked and wild weekend in whistler hitting up the best clubs and enjoying the best of what whistler has to offer during the summer months?
Not into the party scene? How about a Whistler spa weekend staying at the Westin Resort and Spa in Whistler?
Take a peak at the Destination tours website for more information on all our packages for the summer!
P.S don’t forget to tell your friends!!

This week has been CRAZY. I am now handling all bookings, trips and such all on my lonesome but I must say as busy and full on as this week has been, I am actually enjoying it. I’m one of those people that loves a good challenge and so far I have left the office everyday with a sense of accomplishment. It’s actually so nice to have work to do from the minute I get here in the morning to the minute I leave. Thank goodness for hour lunch breaks! The best part of doing everything myself is I get the chance to speak with all types of lovely people on the phone and through email. Most of the calls and emails coming in are for our stagette packages which are increasing in popularity so if you or someone you know is looking to plan a stagette for this summer get them to check out our website!! http://www.destinationtours.ca/trips-more/stagette-packages/
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Was it all just a dream?

I know it’s already Wednesday which is awesome but I can’t help feel a little bitter that we are back to the regular 2 day weekend. I’m not sure about you guys/gals but I had an amazing weekend. The sunny weather, family dinners, Easter egg hunts with my niece and nephews and a day of snowboarding at Hemlock. It was all so much fun and I wish it didn’t have to end. The one thing I could of done without is getting a wicked sunburn and a nice “goggle tan”. I am hoping it will fade by the time the Whistler Ski and Snowboard festival starts! I am beyond pumped to go! If any of you are interested in going, click the link I have been so kind as to provide!
Have a good remainder of the week everybody!

If you live in the lower mainland you are in for a treat my friends. Sunny, Sunny, Sunny!!!! I know I talk about the weather a lot but how can I not. Winter is finally over!!

Well its official (at least from what I hear), Winter is finally over. Thank goodness. I was kind of over the cold weather. I recently just moved back from living in Auckland, NZ for a year of my life and I arrived during the worst summer NZ has experienced in a long time and then it quickly turned to fall then winter so I have been in cold weather for practically 9 months. You can imagine how excited I am to finally enjoy a nice hot summer, especially a BC summer. I’m looking forward to days at the lake, camping on weekends and of course getting a chance to experience all the summer packages Destination Tours has to offer. While spending time in NZ, the friend I was living with has a mom who was quite the wine connoisseur so I was constantly given different whites to taste ranging from Chardonnay, Pinots Gris ( my personal favorite ) and Sauvignon which were all very tasty. She made me into a big wine lover so I can’t wait to go up to the Okanagan for an amazing day of wine tastings. With so many wineries to experience, the real challenge is picking between accommodations. I really want to give the Penticton Lakeside Resort a try as its right on the lake and what’s better then waking up, looking out your window and seeing a beautiful lake with the warm summer sun beaming down?
Of course don’t forget the Whistler getaways. They may say it’s a ladies getaways but boys are more than welcome. The adventure package which is under the name “I broke a *!@#$%^ nail in Whistler” looks extremely fun if you’re the type of person who loves a day experiencing the great outdoors. I would probably choose to do the ATV as my choice of adventure but that’s simply because I love driving ATV’s and it would be amazing to have the chance to ride around Whistlers back country. It would be pretty cool to see a bear!! The rafting would be fun as well! My one concern would be falling in the water as I am the world’s biggest baby when it comes to cold water.
I hope everyone enjoys their week and don’t forget to tell your friends and family about all the amazing packages Destination Tours has to offer!

I’m pretty jealous

There have been so many people calling in and booking wine tours and stagette packages! I must say I’M JEALOUS! After all, I could book myself and some friends in for one of these amazing packages but then who would be here to take all the upcoming bookings?!
Who knows what this summer will bring weather wise, although right now spring is looking a lot more rainy then usual so maybe just maybe summer will be gorgeous, warm and each day will have clear blue skies! Does anyone else feel completely exhausted from all this dreary, depressing weather? It may be a mix of that and the time change but boy oh boy I am sleepy!
I look at the summer packages Destination Tours offers on a daily basis and I must admit each hotel looks a-maz-ing. Nice plush, comfortable looking beds, amazing views and amenities. Whats better then spending all day having a blast with your friends, sipping all sorts of wine and then getting a ride back to your hotel and crashing in your nice big bed? That sounds like a little slice of heaven if you ask me. The only thing that would make this all 10x better is good weather so here is everyone’s homework assignment for the day. Cross every finger and every toe that the weather this summer will be the best weather BC has had ever.
If you want to be one of the lucky ones and enjoy an amazing wine tour, weekend up in whistler or if your the type of person who likes a good scare/history lesson make sure to check out www.destinationtours.ca for all our summer packages and getaways!!
